VFKCASA Volunteer receives a regional award

On April 28, 2010, Voice for Kids CASA Volunteer, Michele Jones (center), was awarded the 2010 Volunteer Hampton Roads Volunteer Achievement Award by Navy Admiral Boensel and Lynn Clements of the Virginia Aquarium for her exemplary contributions as a volunteer advocate and board member. She received her award in front of over 300 individuals representing various nonprofit volunteer programs across Hampton Roads. As of March 2010, Michele has worked an astounding 846 hours serving 3 children since being sworn as a volunteer advocate in October of 2007. She has also worked well over 200 hours as a board member. Her commitment to Voices for Kids CASA and determination to seek out the best for the children she serves has been simply amazing. Congratulations Michele!
